Mark Jacobs, Chef von EA Mythic, hat sich mal wieder in den Foren von Warhammer Alliance zu Wort gemeldet. Dieses Mal beteiligt er sich an den Diskussion rund um die Beta und der Meldung von 200.000 Bewerbungen für eben diese. Er stellt dabei klar, dass es sich bei der genannten Menge tatsächlich bereits um geprüfte Accounts mit gültigen Angaben handelt. Fehlerhafte Anmeldeversuche mit ungültigen Mailadressen oder Bewerbungen von Personen, die mehr als eine eingereicht haben, wurden bereits vor der Bekanntgabe gefiltert. I'll repost here for clarity. Our 200K signups are validated as working email addresses, non-duplicates and we have to receive a response from the user before we consider them a valid signup. If we added those that we haven't received a response from, our numbers would be a bit higher. We are constantly purging the database, as is GOA, to make sure that our numbers are true and our signup list is a good one.
Just so you know, 200K new beta signups in 10 days absolutely makes us one of the fastest MMORPGs to hit that number.
As to that nasty rumor, GOA and Mythic are running the same beta for each of our territories so that rumor about the 4:1 is not true. Only Europeans get to play in the GOA beta and only people in NA get to play in our beta (other than partners like GW who can play in whichever beta they want). As a matter of fact, I'm going to spend a little time over the next few weeks playing in the GOA, so, some of you may get to kill me before Baltimore. |
